An In-Depth Look At Marsha Powers

Marsha was appointed Village Manager in April of 2008. Prior to that, she had served as Clerk-Treasurer since January of 1997. Marsha earned the distinction of Certified Municipal Clerk, Certified Public Finance Administrator and the village clerk of the year award in 2003. Marsha obtained the Government Finance Award for excellence in financial reporting in 1998, being the first village to obtain such award. The village has earned the award each year since then. The village received an award for their Investment Policy through the GFOA in 2000. Prior to coming to Holly, she worked for Shiawassee County for ten years, eight years as the deputy treasurer and two years in the Register of Deeds and Drain offices. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling with her husband, Mike, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.
